KOREAN WAR VETERAN'S WOUNDED WARRIOR FUND
Supporting all service branches
We as a Nation currently have thousands of Wounded and Injured men and women who have returned from the Battlefield, and hundreds more arriving every week. The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Fort Belvoir, VA, and Fort Knox, KY are treating more than 1000 recovering Warriors.
They are receiving the best Medical Care possible, however the endless hours of treatment and rehabilitation take a toll on these Warriors and their Families. They are under an untold amount of mental and physical stress related to their new found physical limitations.
There are 34 Warrior transition units scattered across the nation, many with specific areas of expertise. (Burns, Eye and TBI)
We as Korean Veterans created this fund to provide much needed services to the Warriors and their families. When we returned from war we had hoped for the same support these young warriors are searching for today. It is our intention to continue to work with the newly established Walter Reed NMMC and the Warrior Transition Units of Fort Knox, KY, Fort Belvoir, VA, and the Walter Reed Society.
We want our efforts to be continuous and to provide these much needed services on an ongoing basis. It is our hope to at a minimum to provide items requested by Soldier/Family assistance offices of the Warrior Transition Units.
The light you bring, and the difference you make in the lives of these Warriors and their Families as you recognize their efforts on your behalf can't be measured.
